*MY OPINION* - Purchasing / Building a new CPU System: The first thing someone should think about when purchasing a pc is to decide which software benefits the user and what will the CPU be used to do. The second thing they should do, is to decide the kind of hardware devices that should be installed inside the case & that they are compatible to work with each other. The next step should be to make a list of the additional programs that will be needed to benefit the user eg: (ANTIVIRUS, SPYWARE PROTECTION, MALWARE PROTECTION, OFFICE, ADOBE READER & OTHER EDUCATIONAL TOOLS LIKE ENCYCLOPEDIA ETC...)

Monitors
I don't go crazy over monitors, but i would recommend LCD (liquid crystal display) or LED (light-emitting diode) 780p or 1080p. A 17", 19" monitor & higher, would be suitable for home & office use, along with a resolution screen to fit the specific size. However many persons like to go all out by purchasing a 50" + Screen.

Motherboards
According to my philosophy, a good motherboard or some of you may describe it as main board, is one that is not health hazardous and many external hardware devices are compatible with. All the external devices most be compatible with the motherboard for everthing to function correctly.
I always recommend the AMD Motherboards, Intel Motherboards, Asus Motherboards, MSI Mother-
boards. Personally i love ASROCK Motherboards.

Hard Drive (Hard Disk)
A Hard Drive is another main external hardware device that needs to be compatible with the main board, Ram & Processor to make a complete system. I recommend having a 160GB Hard Disk the least to be used for home purpose. As far as business purposes goes, I recommend using a SATA 320GB or higher due to everyday usage and multiple software being installed.

Building A Network Cable
Always remember to use the appropriate crimping tool & cut the wires in one straight line. Buy the right size RJ45 ends & the protection ends, to be used when arranging the wires. A tester should be used on both ends of cable to determine if all the wires are working 100%.

RAM (Random Access Memory)

I recommend 1GB PC2-4200 DDR2 RAM the minimum to be used today while browsing the internet etc... If your using 512MB, it doesn't really matter what speed it has please to upgrade now. Using a 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM, 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM, or 2GB PC2-4200 DDR2 RAM is not bad for home purpose. However if you are not so worried about your budget, then go ahead decide whether you should purchase a 4GB PC3-10600 DDR2 RAM, 8GB PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM, Kingston 12GB PC3-12800 DDR3 RAM, Kingston 12GB PC3-10600 DDR3 RAM, Kingston 16GB PC3-8500 DDR3 RAM, Kingston 16GB PC3-10600 DDR3 RAM, Kingston 24GB PC3-10600 DDR3 RAM, Kingston KVR1066D3Q8R7SK3/24G ValueRAM - Memory - 24 GB ( 3 x 8 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 1066 and last but not least a Kingston 48 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 RAM.

AMD & INTEL Processors

Moving on to processors, please upgrade to one of the fastest Intel dual core CPUs: it’s the Intel’s Core 2 Duo E8500 at 3.16 GHz or AMD’s most efficient quad core processor, which is the AMD Phenom X4 9350e 2.0 GHz. On the other hand if your low on budget then source a single core pentium 4 processor or one within that range.
